Sr Specialist OSP Design Engineer at AT&T planning and designing network components. Responsible for evaluating network capacity and creating strategic plans for network growth and change.
Responsibilities
Recommend strategic network planning and network evolution policy decisions, both in and out of franchise, in support of corporate initiatives, customer demand, technology changes, economic and service reliability criteria.
Evaluates network capacity/performance criteria and develops and implements strategies to accommodate network growth and change.
Creates deliverables, Plans of Record, Forecasts, Serving Plans, Use Permits, Cost Estimates, Handoffs, Workprints, Utility Agreements, etc.
Provides short- and long-term planning for access network technologies, including analysis, solution recommendations, and the implementation of said strategy.
Demonstrates an intermediate to advanced knowledge of the engineering position, design tools and databases.
Works independently, has the ability to complete most types of engineering projects, and can resolve complex problems.
Demonstrates leadership skills and has the ability to mentor peers and new hires.
Requirements
2-3 years’ related experience
Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role
Bachelors of Science degree in Math, Science, or Engineering preferred
