About the role
- Structures Asset Management Engineer working on innovative projects for transport infrastructure. Conducting inspections, analysis, and developing asset management approaches within a UK-focused consultancy environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out condition inspections on structural assets using Bridge Condition Indicators
- Working on innovative projects to assess material performance and degradation in structures
- Using and developing materials deterioration curves as part of whole-life asset management
- Applying analytical mathematics (essential), and coding and programming skills (desirable) to analyse data from our clients, draw conclusions and provide advice
- Providing support in the development of asset management approaches for structures
- Building knowledge and experience in using DMRB standards relating to structural assets
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline
- Experience in the field of structures asset management
- UK knowledge and experience of working for a consultant or contractor
- Appreciating organisational drivers as well as those of individual stakeholders
- Awareness of ISO 55001
- Experience and understanding of asset modelling
- Ability to work in a client facing environment, with good communication skills
- An excellent report writing ability
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Project management skills
