About the role

  • Project Manager delivering successful secure government projects at AtkinsRéalis. Serving as the main client contact and managing project delivery according to standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of secure government projects
  • Report to the Project Director
  • Deliver as the main point of contact for the client managing end-to-end project delivery
  • Develop and maintain the Project Management Plan, Quality Plan, and Risk Register
  • Monitor and control project performance against schedule, cost, and quality baselines
  • Manage suppliers and ensure all commercial and contractual obligations are met
  • Define project organisation and roles; build high-performing psychologically safe teams
  • Pursue opportunities for contract extensions and support business development

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in project management
  • Experience within secure government, MOD or Critical National Infrastructure markets (desirable)
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial accountability
  • Understanding of risk management, quality assurance, and government security processes
  • Familiarity with project management tools and systems (e.g., EcoSys)
  • PM accreditation aligned to project risk categorisation and security requirements
  • Results-focused with the drive to keep on learning
  • Effective verbal and written communication
