About the role
- Principal Offshore Structural Engineer in UK delivering major offshore wind farm projects and leading structural engineers in multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of global projects through various levels of development for major offshore wind farm development
- Develop innovative solutions and provide effective leadership for offshore structural engineers
- Design and analyze both fixed and floating structures
- Ensure design work is performed, reviewed, checked, and approved in accordance with engineering procedures or Project Quality Plan
- Be accountable for delivering assigned work packages
Requirements
- Chartered engineer with good experience in offshore industry focusing on Primary or Secondary Steel design preferably for Offshore Wind Turbine Generator Foundations or offshore substations
- Experience in Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) foundation design
- Familiarity with design developments in the offshore wind industry, statutory regulations, codes of practice, and standards
- Proficiency in software such as ANSYS, SESAM, SACS, and STAADPRO
- Solid theoretical foundation supported by practical experience in offshore structural activities such as transportation and installation procedures, design for manufacturability and offshore environmental loading
