Responsibilities
- Perform, support, and lead on-site construction phase services, including project observation and documentation services
- Serve as the engineer’s on-site liaison with the contractor and client
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute required construction documentation
- Perform secondary assignments, including assistance with planning and design of civil & transportation projects
- Communicate, understand, and implement construction documents
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years minimum equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- Possess general knowledge and understanding of construction of transportation and civil infrastructure projects
- Ability to clarify and interpret construction documents
- Complete IDOT Quality Management Training classes for HMA, PCC, and aggregates
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and CADD software for civil design projects
- Strong ability to manage personnel and delegate tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage time on multiple projects
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to accept out of town travel assignments and work overtime
- Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
