About the role
- Civil Water Engineer in the D&AT practice delivering technical design work on multi-disciplinary projects. Supporting UK infrastructure projects with a talented engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Support or lead a small team in the delivery of technical design work on multi-disciplinary projects
- Responsible for inputting and/or preparing technical deliverables such as design reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work
- Provide technical input into project design deliverables for Civil Water aspects of multi-disciplinary projects
- Collaborate with immediate Civil Water engineering team, multi-disciplinary project teams and other related AtkinsRéalis teams on delivery of various size engineering design deliverables and projects
- Work independently with moderate technical guidance
- Use technical experience and judgement to solve design problems and provide informal guidance to junior team members
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design including check of own work as well as others
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered Civil Engineer
- Proven experience in delivery of technical design work as part of a Civil Water engineering design delivery team for a design consultancy
- Takes broad perspective to identify innovative solutions to design problems
- Requires broad knowledge and practical experience in risk assessment, quality control, design management and collaboration with key disciplines involved in water infrastructure design and delivery
- Practical knowledge of current design codes and standards
- Ability to work independently with moderate technical guidance
- Proficiency in applicable analytical software and related tools such as Autocad, Civil3D, Revit, CDEs, ArcGIS, MS Suite, Power BI
