About the role
- Documentation Engineer responsible for developing technical customer documentation for advanced products at K-tronik. Collaborating with international teams and utilizing modern documentation processes.
Responsibilities
- You independently develop audience-oriented technical customer documentation for our sophisticated products
- You write documentation in English using an XML-based authoring system
- You work independently based on your technical knowledge, research, development documentation, and product simulations, and conduct interviews with internal subject-matter experts when needed
- You support the entire documentation process – from research and information architecture to publication and handover to translation
- You create clear information architectures, implement documentation concepts, and actively contribute to the ongoing development of our digital documentation products
- You support the digitization of documentation processes and bring your experience in applying new technologies and AI
- You collaborate closely with our editorial team as well as international teams from development and other departments
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable field of study, or equivalent vocational training
- Professional experience in technical communication and mastery of documentation methods such as topic-based writing, single-source publishing, and cross-media publishing
- Solid knowledge of XML-based authoring systems
- Experience working in agile environments, documenting products with short release cycles, and using version control and change-management tools
- Quick comprehension, strong technical curiosity, and the ability to independently learn complex technical subjects
- Programming experience or knowledge of a programming language, as well as demonstrable experience in applying AI
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills
- Very good German and English language skills, including command of technical terminology
