About the role

  • Senior Project Manager overseeing IT programs for federal clients at A-TEK. Responsible for leading planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of comprehensive program plans, including scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables, in alignment with government contract requirements.
  • Oversee the execution of the IT program, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and collaboration throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Monitor program progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues and ensure on-time delivery of project milestones.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients, managing contractual relationships and ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with government contracting officers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, ensuring accurate tracking of expenditures and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Identify and assess program risks, develop risk mitigation plans, and implement proactive measures to minimize potential impacts on program objectives.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to program teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Managing projects which utilize AWS resources is preferred.
  • Infrastructure, Operations and Maintenance, and applications development/delivery for a large federal program is required.
  • Experience Managing NIH application development projects is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in government contracting and program management, with a focus on IT programs and projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and other procurement guidelines.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT programs for government clients, including budgetary oversight, contract management, subcontractor management, and stakeholder/customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions to drive program success.
