About the role

  • Regional Leader for CVRM at AstraZeneca, leading team and developing strategies in Mainz-Kaiserslautern-Würzburg. Focusing on patient treatment standards and portfolio development.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the region in the CVRM area
  • Lead, develop and coach Therapy Area Specialists (TAS) for Heart Failure (HF) and Renal Metabolism (RM)
  • Implement company and business-unit strategy
  • Further develop the regional TAS team
  • Recruit new staff and select personnel for project assignments, including quality monitoring
  • Develop an individual sales strategy that takes regional conditions into account, including annual planning
  • Plan and implement regional projects and training concepts tailored to customer needs
  • Ensure visit and contact targets with target physicians (general practitioners, specialists, hospital sector)
  • Prepare business plans and assume budget responsibility
  • Actively shape and integrate new sales channels
  • Develop and implement standards for customer project management and lead strategic account plans
  • Organize and conduct regional meetings/conferences
  • Performance management and continuous optimization
  • Proactive collaboration in cross-functional teams (brand teams, across business units) and cooperation with external sales partners

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration or a natural science, or equivalent qualification
  • Certification as a pharmaceutical sales representative in accordance with §75 of the German Medicines Act (AMG)
  • Several years of field sales experience, ideally supporting specialists in both hospital and outpatient practice settings
  • Knowledge of cardiology, diabetology or nephrology specialty-care areas, or experience in specialist medical care
  • Initial leadership experience and competence in managing field sales teams, preferably using modern tools
  • Strong customer orientation and a sales-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, confident presence and persuasiveness — also in challenging situations
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM systems and common project management tools
