About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conscientious participation in all processes of property accounting
  • Account assignment and posting of invoices and bank entries; handling payment transactions and cash flow management
  • Posting of rents, security deposits and operating costs
  • Processing payment transactions, SEPA direct debits and managing bank accounts
  • Performing account maintenance and account clearing as well as balance and account reconciliations
  • Processing incoming and outgoing invoices via an electronic invoicing workflow
  • Performing formal and arithmetic invoice verification
  • Managing outstanding items (open items)
  • Quality control of posted transactions
  • Assisting in the preparation of customer-specific reporting
  • Supporting Property Managers with accounting queries in day-to-day operations
  • Assisting with company/corporate accounting
  • Participating in budget preparation and budget controlling, as well as in annual financial statements
  • Preparing and processing payment transactions, including credit card statements
  • Preparing business and management reports

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting, Finance or Controlling, or equivalent qualification; alternatively a completed commercial or accounting apprenticeship or comparable professional experience in office administration/accounting
  • Several years of professional experience as a property accountant and experience in the real estate industry is desirable
  • Experience with iX-Haus or other relevant property management (PM) software is desirable
  • Confident user of MS Office, especially very good Excel skills
  • Goal-oriented, structured, committed and reliable work style
  • Resilience, initiative, teamwork and flexibility
