About the role
- Senior Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer providing technical support in a global team. Focusing on Windows Server operations and system design for innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and hands-on technical support in a global team environment
- Mentoring and training other technical team members
- Developing logical and physical architecture diagrams for existing and new environments
- Incorporating automation to reduce manual effort and minimize operational errors
- Setting up and operating reliable Windows Server infrastructure from inception through production
- Performing technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation activities
- Evaluating customer requirements and implementing compliant architecture designs and documentation
- Contributing technical input to system design, delivery schedules, scoping, and estimations
- Troubleshooting incidents, performing root cause analysis, engineering permanent fixes, and coordinating implementation
- Managing and tracking work through a trouble-ticketing system
- Participating in rotating on-call support and supporting occasional travel as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 10+ years of experience designing, deploying, and operating diverse IT solutions
- Experience designing, implementing, operating, and troubleshooting complex systems
- Deep expertise administering Windows Server (2019–2022) and related technologies (AD, GPO, Hyper-V, FCM, SCVMM, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong experience with virtualization and migrations (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Strong experience with Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) cluster setup and maintenance
- Experience implementing security controls (access management, patching/updates, threat monitoring, firewall rule management)
- Automation and scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and familiarity with Atera automation software
- Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to produce detailed technical documentation aligned to customer requirements and standards
- Ability to work different shifts and collaborate across time zones; willingness to participate in on-call rotation and occasional travel
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (required)
