About the role

  • Sr Principal Project Manager overseeing European Operational Technology professional services. Leveraging expertise in managing complex power infrastructure projects for energy utility clients.

Responsibilities

  • manage and successfully deliver our European Operational Technology professional services portfolio
  • utilize your professional services expertise, communication, facilitation, and mediation skills to establish and improve the European project delivery model for professional services projects
  • interact directly with strong technical engineers and management
  • manage complex power infrastructure projects
  • demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional project management expertise
  • contribute to project delivery excellence in support of utility customers in the energy generation, transmission, and distribution industries
  • develop and execute project plans that seamlessly align with organizational objectives and contractual commitments
  • outline timelines, incorporating key milestones for invoicing and labor requirements
  • oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
  • implement robust cost control measures and optimize resource allocation
  • communicate project progress, milestones, and challenges accurately to executives and project sponsors
  • establish and rigorously enforce project governance standards and procedures
  • guide, mentor inspire diverse project teams within a matrix organization
  • champion professional development, providing support to nurture the growth and success of each team member
  • cultivate strong business acumen within the team
  • deploy strategic, project-tailored approaches to risk management
  • recognize, evaluate, and proactively address both potential risks and ongoing issues
  • cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables
  • drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
  • +12 of proven experience in the power utilities industry with depth knowledge of the power infrastructure in at least two of the following area: generation, transmission, and distribution
  • PMP or relevant project management certification is a plus
  • Leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in customer interaction and adept problem-solving skills, coupled with a keen of business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects
  • Proven record managing multicultural technical teams within a matrix-based organization
  • Extensive experience in the software or process within the utilities industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong commitment to providing superior customer service
  • Excellent English verbal and writing skills, a second language is advantageous
  • Regional travel (Europe) between 25%-75% of the time depending on demands
