About the role
- Staff Civil/Process Mechanical Engineer designing water and wastewater projects for Arcadis. Seeking a motivated engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience in Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to support a wide range of engineering projects
- Design and provide construction support for water and wastewater treatment plants, storage tanks, valves and gates, chemical feed systems, stormwater systems, distribution and collection systems, and pump/lift stations
- Assist in the development of construction documents and specifications, ensuring adherence to established budgets, schedules, and project scopes
- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Coordinate project execution with other engineering disciplines and office personnel
- Lead the development of design projects and prepare comprehensive construction packages
- Create cost estimates, develop project schedules, and conduct detailed engineering calculations and analyses
- Oversee the work of CAD staff and ensure all designs align with Arcadis standards and specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field of study
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater facilities design and construction support
- Current PE License in Pennsylvania, or ability to obtain within one year of hire (preferred)
- Experience with Revit and/or ACAD Civil 3D (preferred)
- Task Lead, Task Manager, or Design Lead experience on water/wastewater projects of various sizes (preferred)
