About the role
- Senior Systems Design Engineer responsible for system architecture, requirements analysis, and integration. Collaborating across multiple engineering functions ensuring quality and project adherence.
Responsibilities
- Converts requirements into conceptual designs and prepares associated documentation by performing operational analyses, simulations and technical trade-off studies evaluating alternative design configurations and functional features.
- Good understanding of the systems development lifecycle and lifecycle products.
- System Design and Architecture: Developing the overall structure and specifications of the system, including its various subsystems and components.
- Requirements Analysis: Understanding and analyzing the needs of the organization and translating them into technical requirements for the system
- Integration: Ensuring that all the different parts of the system (hardware, software, etc.) work together seamlessly
- Risk Management: Identifying potential technical risks throughout the project lifecycle and developing mitigation strategies
- Technical Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical reports, specifications, and other documentation related to the system's design, development, and performance
- Technical Oversight: Supervising the implementation of the system, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards
- Cost Estimating: Developing cost estimates for products and ensuring they are completed within project budget
- Represent System Engineering at formal Design Reviews, with particular attention to the reduction of design risks.

- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering discipline
- Systems Engineering: Requirements and Use Case analysis
- Concept assessment and design trade studies
- System architecture design and functional modelling
- Performance assessment and systems behaviour analysis
- Verification, Validation and Certification
- Model based engineering techniques, including MBSE
