About the role
- Senior Water Design Manager leading water infrastructure projects across Florida. Utilizing expertise in design and management of treatment plants and pump stations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead designer and/or design manager of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants, pump stations, and hydraulic structures such as intakes and/or gate projects.
- Exercising engineering judgement to develop solutions to complex water infrastructure challenges.
- Coordinate with clients, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary teams during all project phases, from schematic design to construction.
- Engage in our national process mechanical practice, serve as a technical resource for the region, and provide mentoring of junior engineers to grow our team’s capabilities in South Florida.
- Participate in Arcadis’ quality culture by performing quality assurance and control reviews of water infrastructure.
- Establishing client relationships and supporting pump station marketing and pursuit efforts.
- Scoping and budgeting tasks for water infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- 10 years of pump station design experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.
- Florida PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Excellent technical engineering in design of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants and pump stations.
- Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills and excellent technical writing skills.
- Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Client relationship skills; including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the client.
- Functional experience with MS Office applications.
