About the role

  • Entry-Level Geologist or Scientist role assisting Project Managers on environmental investigation and remediation tasks. Involves significant fieldwork and office coordination in Hanover, MD.

Responsibilities

  • assisting Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks
  • conducting and documenting field work including soil, groundwater, and/or vapor sampling in the field
  • coordinating with and overseeing the work of subcontractors
  • writing portions of technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda to support project teams
  • office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation support, report writing support, regulatory file review support, proposal support, and subcontractor management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Geology, Engineering, or closely related field (i.e., environmental, biological, physical science)
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training
