About the role

  • Sustainable Chemistry consultant managing chemical compliance and sustainability projects for clients globally. Collaborating with multicultural teams within a growing global consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of chemical regulation activities as required by the client (e.g. for EU-REACH and REACH-like regulations).
  • Support of consortium management activities within the Sustainable Chemistry team.
  • Support clients with Only Representative services for REACH and UK-REACH.
  • Maintain global data-sharing cost models and administer the sale of letters of access.
  • Organise and convene consortium meetings.
  • Manage regulatory testing programs for REACH and REACH-like chemical regulation schemes.
  • Conduct horizon-scanning and supporting clients in developing compliance strategies for future changes to EU-REACH and REACH-like schemes, as well as in related policy areas (e.g., SVHC, microplastic, PFAS, RoHS, ESPR, etc)
  • Provide ad-hoc chemistry support to other expert teams in Anthesis.
  • Identify opportunities for Anthesis to further support clients, general business development activities.
  • Expand the client portfolio with relevant regulatory and sustainability projects.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in business-oriented Regulatory Affairs and/or Product Stewardship function in the industrial chemicals sector.
  • Knowledge of EU REACH and related regulations essential, other global chemical regulations knowledge an added bonus.
  • Understanding of EU-REACH financial reconciliation processes a benefit.
  • Working knowledge of IUCLID preferred.
  • Clear communicator, able to ensure accuracy in data records and communicate to non-topic experts.
  • Must have experience of working with technically complex products / chemicals and the regulatory environment in which they are sold and used.
  • Well organised, effective time management and self-management of priorities.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks, able to track multiple projects and follow through to completion.
  • Professional manner to act as a brand ambassador appropriate to the specific client environment and circumstances.
  • Methodical and analytical with good attention to detail.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Excel and NetSuite preferred, ability to adapt and learn new software and process essential.
  • Experience with commercial agreements, and time and materials project management a bonus.
  • Experience in the consultancy sector or consortium management an advantage.
