• Hybrid Material Handler & Cycle Counter at Amcor focusing on warehouse throughput and inventory accuracy. Responsible for material handling, cycle counting, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, stage, load/unload; perform put-away and replenishment using standard work and location accuracy
• Execute daily cycle counts and assist with monthly physical inventory; document results and variances
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies (including negative bins); identify root causes and recommend corrective action
• Assist Warehouse Lead with audits of put-away and picking accuracy: implement corrective labelling or procedural updates
• Maintain rack and bin labels; ensure locations align with system data
• Complete paperwork and accurate computer entries; update counts, moves, and adjustments per procedure
• Adhere to safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards; promptly report hazards
• Perform duties of a Material Handler/Picker when inventory tasks are complete or operational priorities require

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 3-6 months warehouse/inventory experience; forklift/lift-truck operation preferred
• Knowledge: Warehouse operations, inventory control, and cycle counting, ERP/WMS basics, safety and 5S standards
• Skills: Accurate counting and data entry, variance investigation, basic math, clear communication, and digital proficiency
• Abilities: Physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs and repetitive movement; attention to detail; adaptability to shifting priorities; sound judgment in standardized situations
• Behaviors: Safety-first mindset, ownership of accuracy, process discipline, teamwork and collaboration, reliability, and continuous improvement orientation.
