About the role

Enterprise Architect at amber developing scalable IT systems and architecture. Defining enterprise architecture frameworks, driving cloud strategies, and ensuring compliance standards in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

You define and further develop the company-wide enterprise architecture framework that optimally connects technology, processes, and business strategy
You design and integrate systems and platforms to ensure long-term scalability, security, and sustainability
You guide management, technology owners, and project teams through critical architecture decisions and provide orientation and strategic guidance
You establish standards for architecture governance, technology selection, and best practices across the company — including responsibility for make-or-buy decisions
You advise and coach engineering and IT teams, promote technical leadership skills, and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration among stakeholders
You work closely with technology stakeholders to design solutions that meet current requirements while accounting for future developments
You foster a culture of strategic foresight, continuous improvement, and innovation in the field of enterprise architecture

You have extensive experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or designing complex IT system landscapes, including leading enterprise-wide technology initiatives
You bring deep expertise in designing scalable, secure, and interoperable architectures that integrate diverse platforms and technologies
You are familiar with modern architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), cloud platforms, and integration patterns for enterprise systems, as well as governance and compliance requirements
You have previously guided technology decision-makers and cross-functional teams through strategic architecture decisions and trade-offs
You advise and coach stakeholders at all levels, encourage knowledge sharing, technology leadership, and close alignment between business and IT
You communicate precisely, persuasively, and respectfully with different groups, work effectively with executives, business units, and IT teams, and are fluent in German and English
You have a strong passion for continuous improvement at amber and design an enterprise architecture that enables innovation, agility, and long-term business success
You stay up to date on new technologies and trends and understand when their adoption makes sense and when it does not
