Responsibilities
Implementation of projects related to our Data Platform
Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and implement data requirements, including in the development of a Data Mesh
Development, implementation, and operation of data warehouse solutions in the Azure Cloud in cooperation with our IT team
Design and operation of ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, including CI/CD
Integration of source systems and creation of data models
Ensuring data quality and integrity across all processes
Optimization, maintenance, and monitoring of existing data pipelines
Cost optimization of existing solutions
Implementation of monitoring and logging concepts
Adherence to compliance and security guidelines
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
Initial professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing
Strong knowledge of modern data platform architectures and the Azure Cloud (especially ADF & Databricks)
Excellent SQL skills and proficiency in Python (PySpark)
Experience leading (sub)projects
Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities
Very good German and good English skills
Experience with SCADA data from the wind energy sector is a plus
