Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting in the general business operations of the company by analyzing and negotiating contracts and other agreements to ensure the interests of the Company are safeguarded, while understanding and helping to achieve business objectives.
Additionally, this position serves as a resource to staff and managers to provide contracts counsel and support.
Requirements
Degree in Risk Management, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant contracts experience, including experience in the construction industry.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience leading contract negotiations with a track record of achieving business objectives.
Strong knowledge of legal terms and methodologies, contract provisions, and risk analysis.
Knowledge and understanding of construction legal terms, the internal operations of a construction design-build general contractor, the construction industry, and the local construction market.
Ability to analyze and mitigate risk, maximize profitability, and successfully balance the needs and expectations of the Company's operations team/business unit and the client while maintaining Alston Construction’s standards and reputation.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to articulate complex information.
