About the role

  • Sales Engineer at WESSLING Consulting Engineering focusing on project acquisition in environmental services. Responsible for customer development and market analysis.

Responsibilities

  • You acquire projects in the service area “building hazardous materials and deconstruction”
  • You coordinate ongoing sales activities in the regions, including aligning nationwide and regional sales projects
  • You are independently responsible for both new customer acquisition and the support and development of existing customers
  • You use trade fairs and conferences to actively build a professional network
  • You market the developed services and identify potential to sell additional products from the business unit through cross- and upselling
  • You prepare sales plans and reports
  • You analyze market and customer developments with the aim of developing, implementing and further refining our sales strategy and portfolios

Requirements

  • Degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, chemistry, biology, geology (m/f/d) or another natural or engineering science degree with relevant professional experience
  • Professional experience in the industry or in sales is an advantage — motivated career starters (m/f/d) are also warmly welcome
  • Strong sales affinity and technical expertise
  • Business-oriented thinking and acting
  • Strong communication skills and social competence to build new networks and maintain customer contacts
  • Enjoyment of working in a team
  • Organizational skills, self-management and a hands-on mentality
  • Very good presentation skills and IT knowledge
  • Proficient German language skills for social and professional use (min. C1 level, spoken and written)
  • High willingness to travel within Germany and a valid Class B driving license
