IT Infrastructure Consultant responsible for Windows and Linux systems, networking, and automation. Joining a small, experienced team providing tailored IT solutions for a major client in Hamburg.
Responsibilities
As the central point of contact for the client, you take responsibility for the core IT infrastructure.
System Administration (Hybrid): You are the expert for Windows and Linux server environments (operation, hardening, maintenance) and administer Windows clients as well as Linux systems for applications.
Network & Security: You design and operate networks (Dell OS10 switches: VLAN, routing, LACP) and manage SonicWall firewalls (VPNs, rule-set optimization, firmware).
Automation: You enjoy automating manual processes with PowerShell, Bash and/or Ansible to increase efficiency.
Cloud & Projects: You actively support exciting Microsoft technology projects (M365, Entra ID / Azure AD, Defender/Sentinel, Azure networking services).
Requirements
Proven experience in both Windows and Linux administration (operation, hardening, package management).
Solid knowledge in network management (ideally with Dell switches) and experience working with firewalls (e.g., SonicWall).
Experience automating tasks using common scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash or Ansible).
Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies (M365, Entra ID, Azure).
A proactive, solution-oriented working style and the ability to drive topics forward independently.
Programming skills in Python or C# for tool development.
Basic knowledge of operating Elasticsearch clusters.
