Strategic Finance Analyst supporting financial decision-making at AllTrails. Contributing to financial modeling, forecasting, and cross-functional analysis in a remote capacity.
Responsibilities
Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for leadership, the board, and investors—from raw data pulls to polished presentations
Contributing to ad-hoc strategic analyses cross-functionally (e.g., paid acquisition performance, product launch business cases, international market analysis, etc.)
Maintaining detailed financial models to support budgeting and planning, and performing budget variance analysis at a monthly cadence
Building and maintaining performance reporting and KPI dashboards for various departments using SQL and Looker
Supporting inbound diligence requests and other ad hoc strategic projects as needed
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or strategic finance/FP&A, preferably with a focus on software and internet businesses.
Exposure to annual and long-range forecasting, reporting on forecast vs. actual variance, and similar FP&A responsibilities.
Proven track record of achieving goals and delivering results in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
Strong working knowledge of SQL and business intelligence tools.
Strong attention to detail and analytical rigor.
Solid presentation skills, with the ability to communicate quantitative and qualitative insights clearly and visually.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to break down complex concepts and proactively share knowledge with teammates and stakeholders.
