SVP Chief Financial Officer managing financial operations and compliance for GM Financial Bank. Leading budgeting, capital management, and reporting to enhance financial stability.
Responsibilities
Manage the Bank’s financial reporting, internal controls and Regulation W compliance.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures that describe the Bank’s practices for liquidity management, stress testing and capital planning.
Plan for and manage the Bank’s capital levels and ratios within capital limits, perform capital and interest rate risk stress testing, and develop and maintain the Bank’s funding plan and Contingency Funding Plan.
Closely monitor economic conditions and all financial performance metrics, including cash flow, income and expense, budget variance analysis, asset mix and quality, funding requirements, liquidity, capital levels and other key ratios.
Coordinate with other Bank functions to develop and execute the Bank’s strategic plans, be responsible for interpretation of financial results, and develop financial strategy to achieve operating objectives.
Prepare monthly financial packages for the Board.
Review and approve major capital expenditure requests and respond to finance-related questions from regulatory authorities, internal auditors and ratings agencies.
Oversee the preparation and filing of Bank Call Reports.
Responsible for the treasury function and its operation and serve as the Bank’s initial Treasurer.
Requirements
Advanced knowledge of the local, State and Federal law affecting the Bank.
Advanced knowledge of financial and accounting matters affecting the Bank.
Advanced knowledge of management processes such as planning, budgeting and financial analysis.
Ability to interact with and influence with regulators while driving the ILC process.
Ability to effectively translate the above knowledge into feasible strategies, policies and processes and to implement them with positive impact on corporate goals and objectives.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex financial reports and regulatory documents.
Strong decision-making skills with ability to respond quickly and accurately as issues arise.
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with corporate personnel, customers, contractors, consulting attorneys, court officials, regulatory agencies and the general public.
Strong, effective and persuasive oral and written communications skills at all levels of management.

Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
Greater than 10 years progressively responsible financial, legal or other relevant executive experience in regional banking or an ILC required.
Greater than 10 years corporate management experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required.
Master’s Degree Preferred.
