Responsibilities
Analyze the claims experience of the administered portfolio, identifying trends, distortions and utilization risk factors.
Perform technical calculations for rate adjustments, taking into account portfolio history, risk profile and negotiations with operators.
Prepare actuarial studies of utilization behavior, VCMH (average medical‑hospital cost), and claim frequency and severity.
Provide technical support for negotiations of rate adjustments with operators, supplying analytical inputs and actuarial opinions.
Assess the financial impacts of portfolio movements.
Produce technical and executive reports to support Executive Management, Product, Sales and Market Intelligence teams.
Work collaboratively with Product, Data, Sales, Operations and Finance areas.
Contribute to the development of analytical models and the automation of actuarial analyses.
Requirements
Degree in Actuarial Science.
Experience in the Healthcare segment required, preferably at a benefits administrator or health plan operator.
Strong expertise in claims analysis and in calculating collective rate adjustments for group/adhesion contracts.
Advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge of SQL, Python and BI tools.
