About the role

  • AI Value Engineer managing the GenAI solutions lifecycle for customer challenges in Heidelberg. Leading use case identification, project management, and customer training efforts in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Run demos, identify use cases with sector experts, and translate business needs into GenAI solution requirements.
  • Assess technical effort, feasibility, and business value to determine whether a use case is a suitable fit for GenAI.
  • Align scope with the Solution Factory, prepare and facilitate discovery workshops, and build business cases (value hypothesis, KPIs, ROI, etc.).
  • Oversee solution development and deployment, act as project manager for smaller implementations, and manage customer communications.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and support commercial activities for custom app usage.
  • Lead onboarding and adoption efforts: deliver trainings, support change management, monitor customer health, and drive realization of value.
  • Own renewals and support account expansion by identifying new use cases and managing related commercial steps (for smaller accounts).

Requirements

  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand data and GenAI concepts, and to translate business needs into clear solution requirements.
  • Experience in value discovery and use-case prioritization, particularly in technology- or data-driven environments.
  • Solid stakeholder and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and IT teams.
  • Ability to estimate technical effort and plan delivery in a structured and realistic manner.
  • Skilled in preparing and delivering workshops and demos, with clear storytelling and facilitation capabilities.
  • Experience creating and delivering training for different user groups.
  • Commercial mindset, able to support renewals, identify expansion opportunities, and understand the financial impact of solutions.
  • Curiosity and a drive to learn, especially regarding processes in industrial and public sector environments.
