About the role
- PBS IDR Analyst auditing IDR processes in a healthcare environment. Responsible for analyzing and improving outcomes related to medical billing and claims processing.
Responsibilities
- Audit and review processes for benchmarks
- Identify deficiencies, document findings
- Use critical thinking and problem solving to provide analysis
- Execute the IDR process for each dispute from initiation to completion
- Review and audit IDR process, tracker and dashboard to ensure no data gaps
- Communicate with IDR entities, payors and other relevant parties via phone, email or other means
- Support and communicate with IDR leadership on quality escapes, improvement ideas and other components of the IDR process
Requirements
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 to 3 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience working with medical billing; claims, appeals, coding, cash posting, customer service, insurance verification, medical records
- 3-5 years of experience in healthcare financial and revenue cycle analysis preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills

- Ability to multi-task, critically think and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of healthcare payment models, revenue cycle, payer contracting, claims life cycle

- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment while auditing the work of others
- Advanced in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
