About the role
- Commodity Manager overseeing procurement for Airbus's space division. Acting as a focal point for suppliers and ensuring effective procurement strategies.
Responsibilities
- Represent your nominated Commodities towards the whole Procurement organisation
- Act as a Commodity Manager, both tactically and strategically
- Ensure day to day needs are met, whilst developing supplier strategies
- Responsible for the end to end qualitative deployment of the procurement activities through application of Airbus processes
- Act as the focal point towards your suppliers for all procurement / purchasing matters
- Ensure an end to end streamlined procurement experience for your suppliers
- Engage with other Procurement functions to support bids and projects
- Actively lead and coordinate relevant Procurement multi-functional teams
- Devise and implement sourcing strategies and liaise with Project Supply Managers for project needs
- Ensure that purchasing processes are correctly and consistently applied
- Facilitate the exchange of information and lessons learnt between projects/programmes and support functions
Requirements
- Proven experience on multi-discipline projects
- Project management or Supplier Management experience
- A degree in a business related field is desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn
