About the role

  • Product Compliance Analyst monitoring compliance with regulations and procedures at Aflac. Involves reviewing documents, advising management, and assisting analysts in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

  • monitors adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and Compliance processes
  • assists more experienced analysts in interpretation, monitoring, investigation, remediation, and reporting
  • operates with some latitude for independent action and decision-making
  • consults with senior team members and management on complex issues
  • reviews documents within area of responsibility for compliance with standards and guidelines
  • prepares documentation for submission to appropriate agencies
  • communicates with state insurance departments to resolve issues
  • provides advice and guidance to department management
  • assists with certificate management and form maintenance
  • maintains effective and accurate online records and databases
  • performs research for inter-departmental partners regarding legislative changes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a related field
  • 2 years of job-related work experience
  • General knowledge of the insurance industry, including theory, application, products, processes, and terminology
  • Ability to interpret complex language in state insurance laws and regulations
  • General knowledge and understanding of NAIC Model Laws and Regulations
  • General knowledge and understanding of Aflac’s policy language, products, benefits, and limitations
