Responsibilities
monitors adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and Compliance processes
assists more experienced analysts in interpretation, monitoring, investigation, remediation, and reporting
operates with some latitude for independent action and decision-making
consults with senior team members and management on complex issues
reviews documents within area of responsibility for compliance with standards and guidelines
prepares documentation for submission to appropriate agencies
communicates with state insurance departments to resolve issues
provides advice and guidance to department management
assists with certificate management and form maintenance
maintains effective and accurate online records and databases
performs research for inter-departmental partners regarding legislative changes
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a related field
2 years of job-related work experience
General knowledge of the insurance industry, including theory, application, products, processes, and terminology
Ability to interpret complex language in state insurance laws and regulations
General knowledge and understanding of NAIC Model Laws and Regulations
General knowledge and understanding of Aflac’s policy language, products, benefits, and limitations
