About the role

  • Service Engineer maintaining and troubleshooting power electronic components for industrial systems. Training personnel and documenting work for clients with global operations in power solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Global deployment for maintenance and repair of electrotechnical and electronic components, systems and installations such as power converter units, including battery systems
  • Investigation of complex power converter units on-site, in test and trial fields as part of handling customer complaints
  • Training and instruction of the operating personnel for the respective systems
  • Conveying product information to customers
  • Supervision and instruction of subordinate technical staff on site
  • Performing installation inspections of site-executed assemblies
  • Commissioning of new equipment and systems at customer sites
  • Documentation of performed activities and of the condition of the device or system, including preparation of customer-specific protocols (SAT, WKP)
  • Inspection of customer devices and systems, including preparation of a defects list and a maintenance plan according to the service life of the device/system
  • Preparation of technical documentation describing the fault-analysis procedure
  • Adaptation of test routines and test programs
  • Preparation of retrofit concepts and circuit diagrams
  • Definition of required measurement points, test equipment and protocols for KTA-related seismic and EMC tests

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. FH or equivalent) or similar
  • Experience in power supply systems and project planning
  • Knowledge of our products is an advantage
  • Familiarity with relevant DIN VDE, TAB and UVV regulations is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel is required
  • Goal-oriented, structured and resilient under stress, especially in communication with customers
  • High commitment and confident manner with adequate problem-solving competence
  • Team player
  • Very good written and spoken German and English
