About the role

  • Manager of Continuous Improvement in Urban Transportation Solutions leading Lean project strategy. Collaborating with project teams on large-scale infrastructure in urban transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a project-specific Lean strategy supporting preconstruction and design activities.
  • Align project planning with sector strategies emphasizing a Lean Design and Construction approach.
  • Provide input into the deployment of Lean processes, systems, and project procedures.
  • Guide project teams through setup, validation, governance, and cross-functional alignment activities.
  • Establish and support project Conditions of Satisfaction, charter development, and scope planning.
  • Facilitate collaborative design planning and partnering to support Target Value Delivery.
  • Train, mentor, and coach project personnel on Lean principles, behaviors, and tools.
  • Promote Lean thinking across all functions to advance continuous improvement culture.
  • Facilitate the use of LDC methodologies such as Choosing by Advantages, A3 problem-solving, process mapping, and value stream mapping (VSM).
  • Lead and sustain WasteWalk programs, identifying and eliminating waste across project operations.
  • Develop and maintain clear productivity measures, ensuring tracking and transparent communication across teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working on large, complex capital projects or joint ventures with multiple interfaces.
  • Proven track record deploying Lean Design and Construction methodologies.
  • Experience in the urban transportation industry preferred.
  • AGC CM - Lean or LCI - CPC certification preferred.
  • Serve as an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) specialist with hands-on leadership experience.
  • Leverage architectural or engineering expertise to manage internal/external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in French and English (oral and written).
  • Must be local to Quebec City or willing to relocate.
