About the role

  • Regional Field Support Technician diagnosing and repairing lighting and control systems for Acuity Brands. Collaborating with engineering teams and providing on-site customer training with a focus on service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site service visits in accordance with Acuity Brands' policies and procedures
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, program, and repair lighting and control systems
  • Provide technical support to both internal teams and external customers
  • Act as a subject matter expert during customer engagements and technical escalations
  • Prepare detailed field reports following service calls
  • Conduct on-site training sessions for customers on system operation and maintenance
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to identify opportunities for product and process improvements

Requirements

  • Having a degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in a field service role with electrical and mechanical responsibilities
  • Strong aptitude in electrical systems, control technologies, and schematic interpretation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport required
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is a plus for international support.
