About the role
- Data Solutions Architect supporting data warehousing projects for a US Government client. Overseeing the design, governance, and QA functions in a hybrid work setting.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical architect for data warehousing projects to address business intelligence challenges.
- Oversee the overall design and governance of the enterprise data platform.
- Provide guidance on governance best practices and support long-term alignment with the organization’s collaboration goals.
- Manage QA functions, including developing unit, system, and integration test plans, and oversee their execution.
- Write technical documentation as well as end-user system documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of enterprise Data architecture experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in database design, ETL (OWB/ODI), reporting, and analytics.
- Possess deep technical expertise as both a Solutions architect and AI architect.
- Previous consulting experience utilizing an Agile delivery methodology.
- 3+ years of Azure ETL processing experience.
- 3+ years of experience utilizing data warehousing methodologies and processes.
- Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks.
- Proficiency in creating PL/SQL packages.
- Full SDLC and Data Modeling experience.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to create both logical and physical data models.
- Ability to tune databases for maximum performance.
- Experience in Data Preparation - Data Profiling, Data Cleansing, and Data Auditing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
- Ability to pass drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
- Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
- Must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years.
