About the role

  • Project Engineer ensuring design compliance with project requirements in naval power systems. Leading engineering teams and mentoring while supporting U.S. Navy projects and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure design compliance with all project requirements
  • May lead a team of engineers to complete a project or projects
  • Review customer specifications and requirements
  • Lead a project team to develop designs considering cost
  • Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and customers
  • Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians and support personnel
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
  • Mentor and coach less-experienced engineers
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
  • a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance
