About the role

  • Management Accountant ensuring the integrity of financial data and supporting Finance Business Partners at the University of Melbourne. Contributing to strategic financial planning and building trusted business relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve financial data issues, ensure accuracy in reporting, and maintain the Chart of Accounts
  • Monitor financial performance, contribute to budget development, and collaborate with shared services areas
  • Provide feedback to improve systems and processes, and drive corrective actions to minimise transaction errors
  • Establish effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and support regulatory compliance requirements

Requirements

  • Fully qualified CA, CPA, or CIMA, or progressing towards these qualifications
  • Experience in summarising large volumes of financial data using Excel
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of financial planning tools like Workday and Adaptive Planning
  • Ability to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check
