About the role

  • Assistant Vice President, Travel Sales guiding profitable growth and team development in travel sales operations. Responsible for strategic direction, integrating sales processes, and enhancing customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • The Auto Club Group is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Travel Sales, who will report directly to the Vice President of Travel.
  • Responsible for guiding the travel sales organization to achieve strong, profitable growth.
  • Setting strategic direction, building and developing high‑performing teams, and driving transformation in travel agency operations.
  • Develop and own a clear travel sales strategy aligned with company goals and travel‑industry trends.
  • Build multi‑year growth plans for each sales channel.
  • Identify new distribution opportunities and partnerships that expand reach and member value.
  • Lead a comprehensive transformation of travel sales, focusing on building one integrated team.
  • Design effective sales processes and workflows for consistent customer experiences.
  • Coach performance using KPI frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Travel, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership in travel sales, travel distribution, or closely related fields.
  • Proven success leading multi‑channel travel sales teams to deliver revenue and margin growth.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing sales strategies, processes, and incentive plans.
  • Experience using CRM, booking platforms, analytics, and/or AI‑enabled tools to improve sales performance.
  • Knowledge of strong skills in change management and transformation, including leading tenured teams through new tools and ways of working.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and frontline teams.
