Responsibilities
Execute accounts payable and disbursement functions, including commercial payments, travel-related payments, and interagency transactions.
Process and validate financial transactions within a federal financial management system environment.
Record and reconcile obligations, de-obligations, and manual financial documents in accordance with federal accounting standards.
Support intergovernmental billing and collection activities, including research and resolution of discrepancies.
Perform reconciliations related to grants, obligations, and payment activities to ensure accuracy and prevent out-of-balance conditions.
Assist with payroll tax-related reconciliations and reporting requirements, as applicable.
Participate in internal control reviews and support audit responses, including documentation retrieval and analysis.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of written procedures and assist in validating system enhancements or upgrades.
Utilize Oracle-based federal financial modules and related reporting tools to perform assigned tasks.
Provide responsive customer support to program offices, acquisition personnel, and stakeholders regarding payment and obligation inquiries.
Maintain compliance with federal information security, privacy, and records management requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business-related discipline.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting federal government accounting or financial management operations.
Experience working within a federal financial management system, preferably Oracle-based.
Familiarity with federal accounting structure, including general ledger and obligation management concepts.
Experience supporting payment processing, reconciliations, or interagency transactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Clearance Required: Must have an immediate completed Public Trust Level 4 or higher investigation in the last 4 Years and eligibility to obtain a Tier 4.
