About the role

• Lead SET Supervisor in Systems Engineering at Ford. Driving innovative vehicle design, optimizing processes, and leading teams in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunity areas for optimization and part reduction.
• Drive cost reduction, weight minimization, quality improvements.
• Coordinate with Core Teams on system optimization opportunities and manage change.
• Drive SET Adherence to Systems Engineering Operating Principles.
• Champion trade-off decisions to balance within the VHE Function.
• Lead Systems level sign-off for the assigned SET Zone.
• Collaborate/work with team members and external partners on packaging, weight, cost, labor, timing, and integration from a systems perspective according to assigned vehicle area and content.
• Support functional sign-off and compatibility reviews to deliver all Program Milestones on-time with completed metrics.
• Drive cross-functional issue resolution (including program, finance, quality, attribute, manufacturing, STA, studio, color & materials sign off, suppliers etc.). Support escalation when needed.
• Manage total cost, content and other attributes & metrics within the SET Zone.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years’ experience in product engineering design environment.
• Must have the knowledge of Systems Engineering Fundamental and Design Thinking.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, courage, humility, decisiveness, flexibility, knowledge, vision, communications.
• Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to show initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (open, clear, and inclusive)
