About the role
- Mid-weight Back-End Developer supporting and maintaining web applications with a focus on high-quality code. Collaborating with the Client Support team and engaging in technical planning.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable tasks
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable code following team conventions and best practices
- Ensure that tasks are completed on time and to specification and are performant and secure
- Participate in regular code reviews and take and give feedback constructively
- Contribute to technical planning, estimation, progress meetings, and standards
- Stay curious and engaged with new back-end tools and technologies
- Take ownership of features or services from design through deployment and monitoring, ensuring reliability and maintainability of codes
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks, while knowing when to collaborate or escalate issues to ensure project progress
Requirements
- 3 years of professional back-end development experience
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in C# with an understanding of MVC architecture
- Experience with Umbraco
- Familiarity with version control (GIT) and common workflows (feature branches, pull requests)
- Experience with profiling and troubleshooting applications
- Familiarity with the Azure Portal
- SQL Management Studio and basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- An understanding of good security practice, including OWASP vulnerabilities
- An understanding of the blue-green deployment model
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
- It’s a bonus if you have Experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience using AI coding support tooling
- Experience using security testing tools
- Node / JavaScript familiarity
- Experience with Optimizely CMS
