Responsibilities
- Manage, coach and grow our UI design team; set a high bar for quality and innovation.
- Establish and maintain a cohesive design system (components, typography, color palettes, accessibility guidelines) to ensure a unified experience.
- Collaborate closely with senior UX Developers and front-end engineers to bring designs to life, ensuring technical feasibility, performance and pixel-perfect implementation and speed delivery and reduce rework.
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes and design specs to communicate vision and guide development.
- Lead design reviews, advocate for the user and champion design thinking across teams.
- Oversee implementation to ensure responsiveness and accessibility compliance.
Requirements
- 7+ years in UI or visual design for web/mobile apps, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record building and managing high-performing UI teams.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating modern, user-centric UI design.
- Expertise with Figma, Sketch or similar tools; experience creating and managing design systems.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue) to collaborate effectively with UX Developers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and inspire your team.
- Nice to Have: Experience designing for HCM, Payroll or other Enterprise SaaS Platforms.
- Experience working in an agile environment with rapid iteration and user testing.
