About the role

  • Creative Director for LATAM driving brand campaigns and creative vision at OpenAI. Collaborating with global teams in developing culturally resonant marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creative direction across LATAM brand campaigns, marketing, digital, content, experiential, events, and partnerships across audiences from Consumer to B2B
  • Translate global brand strategy and creative vision into culturally resonant executions across diverse Latin American markets
  • Set and maintain a high bar for concept, craft, and storytelling across all creative outputs
  • Partner closely with the International and U.S. Creative Studio as well as local Marketing to align on global creative direction, systems, and brand standards
  • Guide and mentor designers, art directors, and creative teams across the region, providing clear direction, feedback, and inspiration
  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to develop market-specific ideas that are bold, locally relevant, and globally aligned
  • Shape and evolve OpenAI’s visual systems and creative frameworks with a LATAM-first lens
  • Lead relationships with external agencies, production studios, and creative partners across Latin America to deliver work at scale
  • Interpret strategy and briefs, identifying the core creative tension and turning it into breakthrough regional ideas
  • Act as a trusted creative partner to cross-functional stakeholders across LATAM, balancing ambition, cultural nuance, and brand responsibility

Requirements

  • Have a strong, distinctive portfolio demonstrating creative leadership, conceptual clarity, and exceptional craft across multiple mediums
  • Bring experience leading brand work across Latin America or other culturally diverse international markets
  • Have deep cultural fluency across LATAM, with the ability to navigate nuance between markets such as Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and beyond
  • Are equally comfortable setting creative vision and getting hands-on when needed
  • Have a refined design eye and a strong, well-articulated point of view
  • Enjoy collaborating across languages, cultures, and time zones in complex, fast-moving environments
  • Are an empathetic leader who elevates teams through clarity, trust, and constructive feedback
  • Balance creativity with strategic rigor and strong brand stewardship
  • Are excited by the role of creativity in shaping how transformative technology shows up in people’s lives across Latin America
  • Have strong cross functional collaboration skills.
