About the role

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Programmatic Traders, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Define and implement best practices for campaign setup, optimization, and reporting across all programmatic platforms.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Programmatic Delivery to define trading vision, operational goals, and growth strategies for the U.S. market.
  • Contribute to pricing strategy, margin management, and trading models to optimize profitability and scalability.
  • Contribute to documentation and best practices.
  • Oversee campaign delivery and performance across key clients, ensuring consistent achievement of KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Account Management teams to design trading strategies that support business growth and retention.
  • Support the development of quarterly business reviews and strategic sessions with clients to provide performance insights and identify incremental opportunities.
  • Support pre-sales activities by advising on programmatic capabilities, media plans, and innovation opportunities.
  • Evolve with cross functional teams on creating and standardizing reporting output provided to clients on a reoccurring basis.
  • Establish and maintain operational processes to improve campaign efficiency, pacing, and delivery accuracy.
  • Ensure data-driven decision-making by leveraging analytics, automation, and optimization tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across DSP integrations, workflow automation, and reporting.
  • Partner closely with Product, Data, and Commercial teams to influence product roadmap priorities based on client and trading needs.
  • Represent the trading function in internal stakeholder meetings and cross-departmental planning sessions.
  • Serve as a thought leader in programmatic innovation, sharing insights on emerging trends and technologies.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience in programmatic advertising, with at least 1–3 years in a team leadership or management role preferred.
  • Expertise in one or more major DSPs (Xandr, DV360, Trade Desk, Yahoo, Amazon, Viant, AdTheorent, Beeswax).
  • Strong analytical skills in Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Proven ability to develop trading strategies and operational frameworks at scale.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in client-facing environments (agency, trading desk, or client direct).
  • Experience integrating performance data into actionable business insights.
  • SQL or BI experience is preferred but not required.
