About the role
- Project manager overseeing technical management of large battery storage projects in Germany. Collaborating with clients and partners while ensuring compliance with regulations and technical standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical project management of large-scale battery storage projects (5–100 MWh) in Germany.
- Management of grid connection procedures, including coordination of E-forms (e.g., E.8, E.8.1), and liaison with grid operators and authorities.
- Selection and sizing of key components: inverters, transformers, protection systems.
- Preparation and assessment of technical concepts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and participation in system planning including container layouts and energy management systems (EMS).
- Technical point of contact for clients, EPC partners and service providers during planning, construction and commissioning.
- Client representation and technical site supervision.
- Support in the preparation of technical documentation and participation in risk assessments.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with grid connection, renewable energy, battery storage or power distribution engineering.
- Knowledge of VDE application rules, medium- and low-voltage systems, protection concepts and grid integration.
- Confident presence in client meetings with strong coordination and communication skills.
- Excellent German and English language skills.
