About the role

• Technical Lead driving observability operations at CVS Health. Leading architecture and automation for observability platforms and ensuring operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Drive the architecture, automation, and continuous advancement of enterprise-grade observability and event management platforms at scale.
• Lead efforts to modernize telemetry collection, streamline observability-as-code practices, and embed AIOps capabilities into core operational workflows.
• Architect, engineer, optimize, and support modern observability platforms, leveraging tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana Stack, and Splunk.
• Partner with Operations teams to integrate and correlate data and events from observability solutions to enhance observability and improve incident resolution.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in automation engineering, observability, or SRE roles
• 6+ years of experience with automation tools such as Ansible, SCCM, Jenkins, Git, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• 6+ years of experience in engineering automation for telemetry collection, alerting, and event handling at scale
• 3+ years of experience with Observability / Log tools (example: AppDynamics, Splunk, etc)
• 3+ years of experience supporting or extending homegrown tools in C# or similar object-oriented languages
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure-as-code and GitOps principles in enterprise environments
• 3+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure
• 2+ years of experience in Jira, Jira Align, ServiceNow, and other collaboration tools.
