About the role
- Accounting intern involved in financial tracking of stocks at Veepee. Collaborating with teams to ensure accurate reporting and closure processes.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Stock Accounting Manager, you will actively participate in the financial monitoring of Veepee's inventory.
- Ensure the accounting close process for inventory.
- Manage monthly accounting closes.
- Prepare audited semi-annual and annual closes, including all necessary supporting documentation.
- Continuously improve closing processes (timeliness, accounting quality).
- Document processes.
- Ensure the integrity of inventory.
- Validate, from a finance perspective, projects affecting inventory.
- Calculate and analyze provisions for inventory write-downs/impairment.
- Implement an inventory dashboard to improve operational and financial management of stock.
- Communicate financial information regarding inventory with Veepee's various Business Units.
- Report to Executive Management on inventory developments.
Requirements
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- You are comfortable with Excel and Google Sheets; prior experience with SAP is a plus.
- You are comfortable working in English.
- You demonstrate rigor and strong organizational skills.
- You are results- and problem-solving-oriented and possess analytical skills.
- You are recognized for strong interpersonal skills.
