About the role

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases in production and development environments.
  • Perform advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, SQL Server Always On, Log Shipping, etc.).
  • Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, and SQL Server native tools.
  • Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Automate routine tasks using PL/SQL, T-SQL, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
  • Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, data governance, and audit requirements.
  • Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in database administration with strong hands-on expertise in both Oracle (12c/19c/21c) and SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and database performance tuning techniques.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows Server environments.
  • Familiarity with database monitoring tools (OEM, SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events, etc.).
