About the role
- Test software changes, minimize defects, and maximize user satisfaction
- Lead manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications
- Review functional requirements and devise test cases, test scripts, and test plans
- Conduct thorough manual testing to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues
- Develop, update, and run automated tests to ensure regression-free deliverables
- Validate and test production server and architecture modifications for reliability and performance
- Analyze bug reports, document issues, and communicate detailed test procedures and results
- Work closely with development team to understand requirements and assist troubleshooting
- Assist in product release decision-making and ensure release criteria are met
- Monitor post-release feedback and coordinate resolution of emerging quality issues
- Document and maintain SQA processes and advocate quality assurance best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience in Software Quality Assurance
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, product management, or a similar role within a technology or software development environment
- Experience with software quality control methodologies and processes
- General computing knowledge of iOS, Android, and web applications
- Basic proficiency in computer software troubleshooting and identifying technical issues
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Git, and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexible and adaptable; able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Experience with SQL and database querying
- Fluency in English required; Spanish language abilities are a plus
- This is a full-time remote position located in the US; preferred to work in the Indianapolis, Indiana office
