About the role
- Intermediate QA Analyst ensuring data accuracy and quality within Big Data environments. Creating test plans and executing tests while collaborating with data teams.
Responsibilities
- Create test plans, schedules and strategies
- Develop test scripts and test data requirements
- Understand system architecture, test automation and performance testing
- Document test results, objectives, data sets and status reports
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to test teams
- Clearly communicate business requirements and defects to stakeholders
- Conduct walkthrough of test artifacts to various stakeholders
- Create and execute automated acceptance tests
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Hands-on experience with testing data pipelines
- Ability to design and execute test plans
- Familiarity with data warehouses
- Experience with test automation (e.g., Python, PySpark)
- Understanding of data governance and data quality
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Understanding of object oriented programming (Java, Scala, Python)
- Knowledge of AWS is an asset
