Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for the development and/or maintenance of systems and solutions in the area.
- Assist in preparing specifications for solutions and developments.
- Write code, under guidance, following the company’s naming standards and best practices.
- Develop applications, under guidance, using basic object-oriented concepts and applying software engineering techniques.
- Support the elicitation of functional and non-functional requirements associated with systems under development.
- Install and configure development environments and core software for solutions, such as operating systems, databases, and application servers required by the project.
- Publish maps, geoprocessing models, and geographic data services for building applications beyond web mapping using ArcGIS Server Manager.
- Create maps, query spatial databases, and analyze data using common analysis tools.
- Perform basic user-level operations in ESRI tools, including installing and configuring ESRI applications (Enterprise, Desktop, Apps).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in a technology-related field.
- Knowledge of software development.
- Basic knowledge of GIS.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts, web development, databases, Python, and geoprocessing.
